I don't remember if I told you or not but a few of our investigators from my last ward have been baptized in these past few weeks.  One boy is 9 and was baptized the week after I left, I was so happy, he wanted me to go back to baptize him, unfortunately at the end we weren't able to travel, but my companion told me everything went well :) Then this weekend B was baptized :) We found her contacting a building and it turns out that her mom was a less active member for over 20 years, she is now rescued and her daughter is a member too :) 

The work is going great here. Like I said we have half the area full city, but there is another part that is also super busy, but a little more similar to the rest of my areas. Of course not AS receptive just because of the life style and movement of the place. But we do have a small family of three with baptismal dates for the 18th of June :) The mom and her two daughters, They are doing so well :) 

We talk to at least 15 people every day on the streets or knocking doors, and you really do have to be creative sometimes haha. Every person has a whole life behind them, something that makes them who they are, we have to find a connection with each person we talk to, everyone has the light of Christ within them, we just have to help them recognize it, and most importantly... feel it. Nothing happens by coinsidense. (I need to study spelling again when I get home) (and grammer..) anyways. Better said, God always knows where we need to be and when. It is not by chance that our P day was changed (We are going to the temple today tuesday). It was programmed by God. Yesterday we met one of the best profile investigators you can imagine. He came up to us in the street and we talked for a minute, he said he was feeling a spiritual emptiness and had dedicated his day off of work (that was specifically that day) to look for the truth and find answers to his questions. He was going to all of the churches he knew close to his house and asking who he knew were priests, or pastors. He felt an impression to go up a street to the home of another friend where he had already gone, but decided to go anyways, and chose to take a different path than normal, that is just when he saw us walking down the street and we began to talk. We told him we could go to his house at that moment, so we went. He told us his life story, he let it all out and we shared the plan of salvation. He said we were sent of God to answer his prayers and that we had answered many of his questions, and also answered many questions that he didn't even know he had. It is such a blessing to see how God works miracles and how if we follow the spirit he will put us exactly where we need to be to bless the lives of his children.

The spirit is so real! I love you!! Have an amazing week :)

May 23, 2016 - One month and 3 days until his Homecoming Talk

So this week we taught in the 7th story of a 16 story building. We are contacting lots and lots of people sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ so that they can have a better life. There are some who are prepared, and some who are humble enough to allow them selves to be prepared. You could say we are "sifting through the mud to find the gold." There are some great people here. This week we talked with many many new people and we were able to take out many visits to return, we arrived to many doors and many were not able to receive us, but we keep inviting, sharing, and searching. There are people who the Lord is preparing and if we show him that we really want to find them he will put them in our path. 

This week we met a lady and her 2 daughters, they are awesome, they are a true miracle and proof that the Lord is guiding us. We were able to teach them twice this week and help them understand the importance of gospel in our lives and they have a baptismal date for the 11th of June! Like coach Day taught us we have to have URGENCY! Every second counts, you have to give it all until the final whistle!!

May 9, 2016 48 days until Elder Lambson's Homecoming Talk

This was such a great week working with Elder Chota. He is from Tingo, Chachapoya, las amazonas. He was kicked by a horse when he was about 15 and cancer began to grow in his leg. Due to the rapidness of the growth the only option left was to amputate. He gets around just fine with his one leg and his crutch. 

He has been living here in Lima with his brother and he has always had the desire to serve a full time mission ever since he was converted in 2011 when he was 16. This week with the permission of the mission president and the stake president he was set apart as an elder and worked with my companion and I all week long. Depending on our informs he will be able to start his papers to head out for 2 years. He has done an awesome job!!! He is such a trooper, he has worked hard and hasn't shown one sign of weakness or lack of self confidence. Its been a great privilege to be able to work with such a great example like him!! 

My companion Elder Moreno from Mexico is also a great example and a dear friend, he will be staying here in Universal ward and will receive a new companion as the zone leader here in Santa Anita. As for me... :) Im headed out to finish the training of a new elder just starting the mission in an area called Surquillo, Surco. Its one of the top 3 richest areas in the mission haha. Elder Moreno said that the first time in his life that he ever saw a Ferrari, was in this area haha. So Im super excited. I know that its going to be an amazing experience and I know that all that I have learned in these 22 months is going to be necessary to strengthen this ward and this new Elder who is going to be my las companion in the mission.

We had an awesome week!!

This week we found out some awesome news, we have a young woman with a baptismal date that is progressing so well, she is so intelligent and understands so well. Apart from knowing, she has also felt that this gospel is true. We taught her with her mom yesterday who we have met a couple of times and has also come to church. She told us that she knew the church when she was 16 and that she was baptized too! She had fallen away for college and relationships and then got involved with other religions. But now she understands better the church and has found the true path again. It is such a miracle that now the difference between her and her daughter is that now they will be doing it together. They are going to strengthen each other and its going to be so awesome! She will be baptized on the 28th. 

It was awesome talking to you guys on mothers day! I love you so so much!! The Gospel is real!!! It makes bad men good, good men better, and truly changes human nature! Let Him work miracles in your life!

ML was baptized!! :) Her son baptized her and it was sooo awesome!! I said she had known the Gospel for 4 years but its really only for about 2. But its still amazing that after 2 years of knowing the gospel and seeing all of her children be baptized now she is finally going to receive the same blessings and what she shared in her testimony was just how important her kids are for her and now she recognizes that she needs to be together for ever, she shared about the importance of eternal life and that really is what we strive for. If we don't have eternal life after we die, what does anything else really matter?

L and her daughter weren't able to be baptized this week because she couldn't get work off Saturday, but to avoid that problem we are going to have her baptism on Sunday after church :) pray for her please. 

This is Elder Chota, he is from the Amazon, he is our companion for a week as he continues to prepare for his full time mission. He is such an inspiration.

It was an awesome week! We went and played soccer and rugby at this little field in the middle of no where! We did a multi zone and got to play against Elder Jolley whos the zone leader in Chaclacayo.

We were able to work with J  and her family this month to be able to help some of them reactivate and feel the spirit and her mom asked her if she wanted to be baptized so we started teaching her. She shared in her little testimony that ever since her mom told her that she just felt something so special in her heart that she needed to do it. It has been a blessing to know their family :)

So the week started out great with a fun p day, playing soccer and a little bit of rugby. Then we were able to work really hard to the last moment, Elder Golden already knew he was going to be transferred but he kept working hard this week and we were able to find some great part member families to rescue the members and baptize who hasn't received that blessing yet :) Its my favorite way to work :)

We received the transfers today! Im staying here in Vitarte and my new companion is named Elder Carter, from Idaho! So this is his first time being a zone leader, its going to be fun to teach him everything that I just barely got out of learning haha. We´ll see how this goes!! Its going to be awesome!! :) I am very confident that we are going to have a great transfer and I know that we are going to meet every one of our goals. It is necessary to be confident, but not in your self, in the Lord. This transfer will be 7 weeks long instead of the normal 6! I will keep you up on the details!! Love you!! Have an amazing week!

Preface to Elder Lambson's letter by his mom:
Elder Lambson's Mission President called me, just after 7pm Sunday 1/3/16, to let me know that due to severe abdomen pain Elder Lambson was being transported to a hospital.  He reassured me that he would keep me informed as to the diagnosis and that he and his wife were headed to the hospital right then. Several hours later we found out he was being prepped for an Appendectomy.  We phoned Elder Lambson at the hospital and were able to talk to him for a few minutes.  When he answered he said "mom, I'm only supposed to talk to you on Christmas and Mothers Day!" I replied "and before you go into surgery".  I love that he is being so obedient to the Mission rules and the Lord.  President Boswell was amazing in keeping us up to date with his progress via email.

Hey so this is probably going to be the craziest email I've sent you my whole mission haha. So this week I completed 18 months!! A year and a half!! And you wont believe who my new companion is... Elder Golden, from American Fork! He is the son of Adam Miller`s oldest brother. We actually met each other before the mission and we talked about how cool it would be if we were comps but never thought it would actually happen! And here we are haha. 

My new zone is called Vitarte! And I'm working here with Elder Golden as Zone Leaders! Haha I'm pretty stoked, we are doing great so far, we have had a great week working together already, the only thing that has been able to set us back a little bit is that I got appendicitis! I was in the Hospital for 3 days and ended up getting my appendix taken out!!! 

The area is great we have tons of investigators! Vitarte is where everyone wants to come because they say its the promise land! We actually have a baptism scheduled for this weekend, and for here in two weeks :) It was so sad to leave my last area though!!! Moyopampa was amazing, I'm going to miss them all soo much :,( they were all soo sad to see me go, I felt so bad! I love them so so much and it has definitely been one of my most successful, and enjoyable times of the mission. I had an entire bag full of gifts that the members and some investigators had given me for Christmas and for going away haha. It wasn't the easiest thing to say good bye, but I know that there are people who need me in Vitarte as well and I am already getting a hang of it here! Its a HUGE change but the people are so great here and so receptive! 

Our zone is awesome too, I already know the chapels of the other wards, I was able to do an interview this week for a little boy who got baptized on Saturday. There is literally no down time, but I love it! Anxiously engaged in a good cause!!

Transfers. I'm in Chosica!! I basically went from the desert to the jungle!! Haha its the furthest zone from the mission and its all green! My new companion is Colombian! His name is Elder Montoya,

I love the new Ward. I'm the District Leader here, something funny that I've realized, I have always been the youngest of every District that I'm the District Leader, sometimes with more time in the mission than others, but always the youngest in age haha. The new Ward is sweet! But before I tell you about this Ward I want to tell you about the good news that happened in my last ward! J and C were married! And so were N and E!   Two 11 year olds that we were teaching got baptized on Saturday. N is getting baptized this Saturday and there are just a few more things to get done before two others can get baptized here soon also!

The new Ward is super sweet! The leaders are all super on top of things and our Ward Mission Leader is the best!! He is a cousin to someone from my old ward who was baptized in May, so It was cool to have that connection and we are getting along great and working hard. 

My comp is awesome too! Like I said he is really chill and wow we are working hard! There are 2 investigators on track for baptism the 26th of Sept. And another for the 3rd of October. We are having Ward mission night every Thursday and we are teaching english classes every friday! At least 20 people come to each activity, members and non members.  Our Investigator is super cool, he is 22 and he loves the church and the english classes and he is bringing a bunch of friends. Haha he put pictures of us teaching on face book and said "come to the english classes every Friday at 7 with North American professors. It's in the Mormon church, they don't force you to be Mormon (but you can be if you want). Come learn english completely free!" hahahaha. 

I'm loving the work, we are teaching hard and wow super exhausted but super happy. This is the steepest area I've had haha, literally all stairs, at least my other areas have had a little bit of flat, or just hills, but here is is literally all stairs at just a tad bit less than a 90 degree angle. Just a tad bit haha. But its worth it. It builds character haha. There are some awesome recent convert families here that we are helping get to the temple and endure to the end. Also something cool here is that they let us eat with the members for lunch and dinner on sunday, so its super fun and we are knowing a lot more families.

The work is awesome, my testimony is growing so much and I know what the principles are that I am going to base my whole life upon. The family is the most important unit in the whole universe and it literally is established by God. No one can truly know our Heavenly Father with out doing His will, no man can love a Master who he does not serve. Read the scriptures to know God's plan, pray to him to know his will, and act upon the impressions that he sends to you through his holy spirit. This is the great and simple answer. Follow the impressions of the Spirit and grow closer to our Father in Heaven every day! I love you soo soo much! Have an amazing week!

This was an amazing week!! Another amazing week I should say, because every week is amazing here! Amazing in every way you could think of. Amazing experiences, amazing sights, amazing differences, amazing people, amazing miracles.

We had another baptism this week. E, she is the best!!! She is 24 haha even though she doesn't look like it. She has been meeting with the missionaries for almost 4 months and has always come to church but never wanted to get baptized because her whole family is catholic and just so much pressure, but we were really able to be guided by the spirit to say exactly what she needed to here to give her the strength to take this leap of faith and truly trust in God 100% and the biggest influence against her baptism was her Mom, but guess who came to watch her, thats right, her mom. If you trust in the spirit, he will guide you. Live worthy, show him that you deserve his guidance and it will come.

I feel like the Book of Mormon prophets writing in the Gold Plates saying "And hundreds of other things happened that we can not reveal" because so much happens every week and I cant tell you everything haha, just know that the work is amazing, my Paraguayan companion is awesome (he is as old as Alex by the way) and that we are super feliz ;) 

The Ward is the best and the work is progressing! Like I told you, this Ward has lots of difficulties, so what we have been really focusing on is the attitude! Attitude determines everything!! Grandpa just sent me a quote by President Thomas S. Monson that says "So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference." Its so true!!! I was so inspired by the story of the rugby state championship (we emailed him the story from  May 13, 2015 The Spectrum http://www.thespectrum.com/story/sports/high-school/2015/05/10/warrior-rugby-plays-herriman-state-title/27076169/ ) , we (SCHS Rugby Team) have never been the biggest, we have never had the most amazing athletes, but what makes all the difference is the Heart. The attitude and the will we have to go out and win no matter what the circumstances! 2 Nephi 2:11 it is necessary an opposition in all things! Face them with a great attitude and see the difference!

Last week our internet time got cut because we traveled a little bit farther to go to a huge place to shop. One of the zone leaders is heading home soon so he had a big list of things to get before he leaves the country! And I always save the best for last so yeah sorry about that but I hoped it wouldn't be too big of a problem because we got to talk face to face on Sunday :)  (his email Home last week, said "Sorry, no time, Love you" )

How is everything!! The family looks super good!! Say hi to everyone for me! I miss you all like crazy, but not that much! Haha

Wow we had an amazing week! I want to share with you my letter to President because we had an awesome experience and I don't want to write it again haha.

Wow! What an amazing week! We improved 100% this week compared to what we did last week. We had a rough week last week with some of the lowest numbers and success that I have had in my whole mission! But this week we targeted the problems and found the solutions and we really have seen the beginning of the results this week! We met lots of the goals of excellence and really gave it our all. The Lord really has blessed us and we saw miracles this week. One of my favorite scriptures is 2 Nephi 25:23 that after we have done ALL that we can, that is when the Lord extends his had and gets us to our goal by showing miracles. One experience this week happened on wednesday morning, we went to the bus stop to head up to the top of the hill side and waited, and waited, and waited and the bus didn't come, finally my companion says lets just go back and do some additional study, and we cross the median of the street, just as we cross I see a bus in the distance, here it comes hurry lets go back! No we are already across the street, but I insisted and felt that we really should go to visit a family that is always home, so we crossed the street and we went up to the top of the hill to visit the family and on the way hiking up to see them we were approached by a man who invited us into his home and we started talking, he told us about how he recently had stopped drinking alcohol thanks to the alcohol anonymous program and has been looking for a church to join to strengthen his relation with God and keep strong and stay sober. He has visited a few other churches but says they are hypocritical and talk but don't act. He told us he wants a strong Christian base and to be able to trust in God and have a happy united family. As we are listening to him talk we are just like "wow"!  We taught the family of 5 "The family, a proclamation" and they all came to church on Sunday!! They are awesome and progressing so good, the next visit we are going to put a baptismal date and I know for sure they will accept it and find exactly what they are looking for! It is so amazing to be able to follow the spirt and I know when we do all that we can, God will put his chosen in our path!

We also had a baptism this week! The first one here in almost half a year, and we have two more with date! This saturday, and the next! " En La Mision Peru Lima Este Bautizamos, Confirmamos, y Rescatamos conversos semenalmente!" Haha. In the Peru Lima east Mission we baptise confirm and rescue(less actives) converts weekly!

I love the mission so so much and wow there aren't really words to describe it. The Church is true! God lives and is our Loving Heavenly Father! Jesus Christ is the Son of God and our Savior! Mosiah 2:41 if we follow the commandments of the Lord we will be blessed in ALL things! Temporal and Spiritual!

I love you soo much! The Challenge of the week, Do 3 random acts of kindness and then write in your journal how you were able to effect someones day and how you felt too!

It was a great week! We talked with a lot of people this week with strong opinions and really tried to shake our testimonies. There is so much corruption and badness that is partly from the apostasy and a lot from the bad experiences of people that have caused them to turn away from God and are so lost. Sometimes its so hard to think and wonder stuff like Why? How come? Why are some of these things necessary and why do so many people have to suffer? And I really don't know the answer. But I do know that God exists and is our Loving Heavenly Father, and he has a plan for every single one of us. Being that we encounter happiness in our time here on the earth, or if we are only here to be tested for a short period of time to receive a plenitude of joy when we pass to the life to come. I know that people can find happiness where ever they search for it here on the earth, but that there is a way to find a joy eternal, that is through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God established the Gospel of Jesus Christ before the world was created, we knew we were going to have to suffer at times, but we also knew that we were going to have a Savior. Jesus is the light, the vine, the water of life, the true path. We have the promise that if we follow the savior, we WILL find this happiness, but like everything, we are free to choose. And just like we receive happiness by following Christ and the Commandments of God, we are also free to NOT choose this path. But as we are free to choose the choices, we are not free to choose the consequences...

The mission is hard, Im not going to lie, we are talking about the salvation of many people and sometimes its so difficult to think ¨why would someone reject this?¨ but everything has its time. And God is the only one who really knows everything, we just have the responsibility to live each day to the fullest, learn as much as we can, take advantage of every moment, love God with all our hearts, and love our neighbors just as we love our selves, and gain all of the experiences that come our way, whether they be good or bad, they will help us to Progress. Being a leader here in the mission, training a new elder who is very different than me, and also leading my district have been huge blessings.

I have always liked to be a leader of those who surround me, but now I am beginning to really understand what it means to follow.... Follow the example of the Savior. He didn't come to the world to be served, but to Serve. The real path to finding happiness in this life is forgetting about yourself, and serving others. I love our Savior and I am so grateful for his example in everything good in this life. I love Easter time to be able to celebrate his resurrection. He really does live. He loves us. I know it with all my heart. I am so grateful for your love and support out here in the field, I ask you to keep praying for these precious souls that I have been so blessed with under my care, and I invite you to remember The Lord in All things, All times, and in All places.

I got all of your stuff (for my Birthday) thank you so much it was awesome! I shared almost everything with Ward members, my comp, and other Elders. I had a great birthday thank you! I almost forgot to tell you I also got to baptise a way cool investigator that the sisters have been teaching. Her name is C and she is 21, super sweet, and super nice. It was a great baptism, her parents were baptised just a few weeks ago. The sisters asked her who she wanted to baptise her and she said "Elder Claxon" hahaha. I love this Ward, I'm probably going to have to leave the next transfer but I really am enjoying the time here.

Other things for you mom, my comp wants to know if you could send him a little hymn book in english, I could go for some more dental flossers (the little sticks) and also I wanted you to say hi to some people for me. ......................

March 16, 2015 - Week of Elder Lambson's 19th Birthday

I stayed in the same area! I have the same companion, which means that I am still training.... And I got made District leader :)  Im loving it so much! This has been amazing week! I am busy as can be but I am so happy with the responsibilities that the Lord has trusted me with and I am so happy to be able to fulfill them with his help! There are 8 of us in my district, Me and my comp in Villa Hermosa, the Sister missionaries in Villa Hermosa 2, the Elders from Las Magnolias 2, and the Elders from Las Magnolias 1 (the Zone Leaders) so we are doing super good as a district, 3 of the 4 companionships had a baptism this week and all 4 of us now have at least 1 with a date and progressing. The little guy who we baptized this week is awesome!!  He just turned 9 last week (his family are members but they were less active for a little bit) we helped the family re activate and we also got to baptize Nick! He chose me to baptize him and It was the best! When we were leaving the water up the stairs he was so happy he couldn't control himself and he jumped back in the water to go swimming hahaha I had to reach down and take him out haha luckily the doors were closed so no one saw, but it was awesome to see how happy he was, and now how big of an impact he can be for his family that is just starting to return to the church. 

Its an amazing time in my life right now. This Ward is amazing and I have seen it change so much in my short 3 months and a half here. When I first got here in December, it was just a little under half way full in sacrament meeting every week, but with the hard work and dedication from the Sister missionaries and also from us, the Sacrament room was full this week. Its such a miracle to see how big of an impact the Lord can make when the Missionaries and the Members work together. This Ward is amazing its small but they are dedicated and are going out and making miracles happen, it really has been so amazing to see the huge change in this ward that was just a branch a year ago. I love these members so much they are awesome! And I'm so happy that I was able to stay here another change to be here for my birthday!  They all want to throw eggs at me, here on birthdays they like throwing flour and eggs at the people so we'll see how this goes haha.  I got Grandpa and your birthday packages, I haven't opened yours yet.

The Sisters also had a baptism this week, his dad baptized him. Since I'm district leader now I got to interview him, its fun doing baptismal interviews, they are really full of the spirit, I also got to interview a kid (17) from the other ward that has gone through soo many trials and temptations but has been able to make such a great change. Its an amazing blessing to do the Baptism interviews and be able to help people and feel the spirit so strongly And to add, I really am super happy that Parker is okay, its good that he lived (Parker was in a roll over accident last week, he's ok and so is the driver) so maybe now he can learn a thing or two haha. Tell him to write me more and tell me more stuff and if he doesn't, he is grounded.

So good to hear that everyone is okay, happy and healthy. Love you so so much and I thank my Heavenly Father everyday for a family and friends so amazing as you guys are. Have a great week! :)

Our investigators are progressing really well! We had 6 with baptism date but we had to drop two of them for a little bit because one just got a huge job making all of the little shoes for the little kids that are going back to school in march, the other left to go work with his uncle in a differnt part of Peru. So we have 4 with baptism date and 3 of them are on track "progressing" to be baptized march 7th! One is named J, the other is M and they are both 18, there other two are brothers that are coming to church but its been a while since we have actually visited them in their house, so its going pretty good we should be baptizing them soon and they are stoked, they are super happy. F is really doing well too, he has been to church 5 times and he is really feeling a lot better, he says almost all of his doubts have been cleared up, he is growing such a better testimony that God lives and is really our loving Heavenly Father. So he is doing awesome, but we are waiting a little and playing it cool for now when he is really ready we will extend the baptism invitation! 

We did some cool services this week, on Wednesday we woke up at 4:50 to go help our Elders Quorum president move all of his bricks up to the 3 floor of his house to add on the 4th layer. And we met this awesome family up in the hill side who are very humble. They have a little wood house and they have been breaking in to the side a stone mountain to add a little bit on to their house and we found them, taught them a little bit about the faith and then a few days later we went back to help them move hundreds of these huge rocks that they have broken off out away from their house. It was the most I have ever sweated, and the hardest service Ive ever done, but also the BEST I loved! It was so awesome, and then we went back that night to teach them, and the wife cried during the first vision, she literally thinks we are angels and she asked us if we passed by chance or if we were sent by God, and we told her that yes we were sent by God, because we really were guided by the spirit to find their house. 

This weekend was sweet because I had the blessing to be able to baptized one of the investigators of the Hermanas,  she is 7 months pregnant, it was a cool experience, and even cooler, Sunday I got to confirm her and give her the Holy Ghost, such amazing experiences. I Love Peru. I love the mission so much and I know that none of this would be possible if I didn't have the help of the Lord in every moment. I was thinking, why is it that they send out teenagers on missions? Why not send out old guys who already know the Gospel back and forth?.. But then I thought that we are sent out here, teenagers, young men, because we aren't walking with our personal knowledge, we are out here walking with faith in God, we don't know everything, and thats why it is necessary that we trust in the Lord because with out him we are nothing, we have to trust that he will give us his spirit to guide us and that we can be tools in his hands where he sends us. Its an amazing thing to be a missionary, to know that if we are obedient and work as hard as we can, give it everything we have, that God will form us into a finely tuned instrument to bring to pass his work and his glory to his lost and beloved children! I love this work, I love God, I love my Savior, and I love you guys! Have an amazing week! :)
